Irene Phillips Miller is a teacher, supervisor and spiritual director affiliated with the Ignatian Spirituality Centre of Montreal. She is also an artist and former spiritual, religious and moral education consultant for the English Montreal School Board. She is a married woman, mother and grandmother.
Irene has taught Spirituality and Creative Expression, Spiritual Formation courses ranging from beginners to ongoing spiritual direction, supervision of spiritual directors and facilitation of retreats. Irene holds a Masters degree in Theological Studies from Concordia University. Her thesis is entitled, “Fostering Spirituality in a Pluralistic Secular Society”.
As a consultant at the English Montreal School Board, Irene was instrumental in establishing a new spiritual community service while encountering various forms of religious diversity and faith expression.
Her interest in spirituality includes Ignatian spirituality as well as other forms of contemplative spirituality.
